How to grow tomatoes with Epsom salt.

Tomatoes are an excellent source of vitamin C and beta-carotene and Studies show that lycopene in tomatoes is responsible for the deep redness which is a powerful antioxidant. Lycopene is an antioxidant compound and the natural pigment that is responsible for the deep color of several fruits, most commonly tomatoes and watermelons. Tomatoes can be grown in the open field, green houses or hydroponics but which ever method you choose, certain nutrients are necessary/essential for the growth.Epsom salt is one of the essential nutrients needed for succulent,big and healthy tomatoes. Epsom salt is magnesium sulphate and its sprinkled in the soil as fertilizer or to add sulfur and magnesium to the soil for proper development. Epsom salts is magnesium sulfate its about 10% magnesium and 13 % sulfur. Magnesium is essential for seed germination and the production of chlorophyll, fruit, and nuts. Magnesium helps strengthen cell walls and improves plants' uptake of nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur. When Epsom salt is added to soil of tomato plant you produce rich,tastier vines . Epsom salt to plants in the following ways;1) Foliar spraying: add 2 tablespoons of Epsom salt to a gallon of water and apply the mix once a month substituting the spray for a regular watering. Use 1 tablespoon per gallon of water if you apply Epsom salt spray more often than once a month. Start foliar spraying when blooms first appear. 2)Side-dressing : work 1 tablespoon of Epsom salt per foot of plant height around the base of each plant. Side-dress plants every six weeks beginning soon after leaves appear and continuing through the end harvest. 3) Soil additive at planting time: add 1/2 tablespoons of Epsom salt to the bottom of each hole before planting seeds or transplants as a booster or fertilizer.
