How to stop diabetes with Moringa.
How to stop diabetes with Moringa. Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder that impairs glucose tolerance and leads to a high risk of cardiovascular disease. Age, genetics, environment, and lifestyle influence the development of diabetes.
A comprehensive review of studies conducted in both animal and human subjects have found the leaves of the Moringa oleifera tree to significantly reduce blood glucose levels and thus can be held potential as a potent anti-diabetic treatment as an addition to the diabetic medicines. Moringa’s richness in antioxidants lends itself well to protecting the body from the effects of diabetes. High blood sugar can promote the generation of free radicals and deplete the body’s antioxidative defenses. see
Lipid peroxidation is one of the characteristic features of chronic diabetics, thus, the regular intake of moringa and other potent antioxidants is recommended to protect against oxidative damage. In a study with diabetic rats, the intake of moringa led to a significant increase in activity of three major detoxifying enzymes that fight free radicals and showed an overall decrease in the degradation of the body’s lipids .more
How to use Moringa to purify water.
How to use Moringa to purify water. Previous studies have shown that the extracts from seeds of the Moringa oleifera tree can be used for water purification. In a new study, researchers show that the Moringa seeds can also be used for separation of different materials.
The separation processes are very important in mining industries and the new knowledge could contribute to reduce the needs for expensive synthetic chemicals. Moringa trees are known as 'miracle' trees because of their many uses as food and as a source of oil. more

Energy-free Food Preservator Using Clay pots.
India is a developing country with an agro-based economy. Around 70% of the Indian population lives in villages, which still lack basic facilities such as clean water, electricity, sanitation, etc. A
Another critical problem seen in rural areas is the problem of staying healthy, which depends on the quality of food consumed. Since rural areas cannot afford sophisticated methods of food preservation, other sustainable ways need to be thought of. Fortunately, there are innovative devices such as “Food Preservator” that can minimize the difficulty faced by rural folk in storing edible, perishable items. more
Edible cutlery can save the environment.
Edible cutlery can save the environment. Plastic table ware such as spoons, bowls, and plates are harmful to the environment when they are disposed after use. Plastic polymers are made of many chemical compounds that are toxic and carcinogenic and can leech into food.
Studies claim polymer products we use in our canteens and consist of polystyrene that discharge a volatile chemical known as styrene that increases the risk of cancers such as lymphoma and leukemia.
Narayana Peesapati was working as a scientist at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics in Hyderabad. He was really concerned about the harmful effects of plastics not only to the environment but to human health.
He established his own startup named Bakey’s to produce edible cutlery. Bakey’s edible cutlery is made of rice, ajwain, wheat, jowar, black pepper and is made in different shapes and sizes. The spoons and chopsticks do not get soggy if placed in water and food. They only soften after some time (10-15 minutes), and thus can be eaten easily at the end of the meal. Even if discarded, they decompose within five to six days, if not eaten by insects or rodents. see
Solar powered agriculture in India.
Solar energy is an alternative renewable energy that is increasingly becoming mainstream due to cost feasibility and higher efficiency. Apart from producing power for offices and households, solar energy can be used to power dryers, cookers, solar stills, lighting, refrigeration and even air conditioning. There is increasing usage of solar energy for agricultural purposes, which consumes considerable amount of power in India.
Solar power technology would be a reasonable choice for agricultural tools. Solar Photovoltaic cells (SPV) directly convert the light energy from the sun into electricity. Concentrated solar power (CSP) systems use an indirect method for the conversion process.
Solar Farming
Solar Farming in India .Solar farming uses power generated from solar energy to operate agricultural or farming tools. It is simple, cost effective, reliable and long lasting. Most common agricultural tools such as tractors, watering systems, rotator, roller, planter, sprayers, broadcast seeder etc. work on battery power and fuel oil. In solar farming, the battery power is replaced with solar power, so that the usage of electricity from grid-power and non-renewable sources can be reduced. more
Obesity, diabetes associated with increased risk for severe malaria infection.
Obesity, diabetes associated with increased risk for severe malaria infection.Diabetes and obesity were significant risk factors for severe infection among nonimmune travelers and immigrants from malaria endemic countries, according to researchers.
“Obesity and noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease, increase globally, including in malaria-endemic regions,” Katja Wyss, MD, of Karolinska Institutet and the departments of emergency medicine and infectious diseases at Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden, and colleagues wrote in Clinical Infectious Diseases.
“In addition, a significant proportion of travelers are older, and an estimated third of travelers to malarious countries have underlying medication conditions. This changing disease panorama in populations at risk of malaria warrants the need to establish how comorbidities affected severity of malaria.” more
