Focus on girls and women to achieve sustainable development goals.(SDGs)

The world is filled with successful women and many great power brokers are women so its only logical that if you want to make a change in the world, in a system ,in a community and in offices empower women, train the girls. The sustainable goals of the UN depicts this fact clearly, we need to focus on girls and women to make these goals a reality. A foremost leader and former prime minister said "If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.( Margaret Thatcher), here is another great woman" Any time women come together with a collective intention, it's a powerful thing. Whether it's sitting down making a quilt, in a kitchen preparing a meal, in a club reading the same book, or around the table playing cards, or planning a birthday party, when women come together with a collective intention, magic happens."( Phylicia Rashad) United Nations General Assembly begins a new session, the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is high on their agenda. The SDGs, which took effect earlier this year, have been described as “a universal push to transform the world. Women are powerful drivers of economic growth, but they confront significant legal obstacles and discriminatory practices that constrain their workforce participation. Women entrepreneurs have limited access to credit, markets, training and networks. Today many companies recognize the role of women in economic participation is a core business strategy and are increasingly supporting women’s economic progress through their value chains, supply chains, and training programs and leadership development. Gender equality and women’s empowerment are essential for the realization of the SDGs. Continue
