NYSC Embarks on Free Medical, Veterinary Services in Gombe.The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has embarked on a four-day free medical mission for animal and man in Gombe State under its Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers.
The Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General Suleiman Zakari Kazaure, who inaugurated the programme Thursday at Sabon-Gari Nassarawo community in Gombe metropolis, said: “In this Initiative, we collaborate with the communities and local governments to get to the grassroots and give them healthcare delivery.

Britain puts annual supports for poverty reduction, health, education in Nigeria at €400m. British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Laure Beaufils has confirmed that Nigerian government received about €400 million assistance from her country every year in support of poverty reduction, health and education.
Mrs. Beaufils told journalists in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital that, "British Government is supporting the Government of Nigeria in addressing health, education and basic services in general and to ensure that the health of the population here goes from strength to strength.”
