Animal shelter, Pokemon Go player and exercising dogs.
Pokemon go players are out on the streets hunting for pokemon, while they enjoy the game they are also keeping fit. The routine of walking around homes parks and animal reserves is a form of exercise and the laser-sharp focus needed to squash the creatures is also enhanced by this exercise.
Pet owners have started taking their pets for the hunt as a form of exercise,,many dogs are enjoying the pokemon hunt.Animal shelters are cashing in on the pokemon game by soliciting for players to come in and take the dogs up for adoption on the pokemon hunt so they will get enough exercise.
An animal shelter in Juneau is calling on players of the smartphone game Pokemon Go to stop by and take a dog with them on their hunt for creatures around the city. The Juneau Empire reports Gastineau Humane Society employees say it's a good way for people to collect Pokemon while allowing the dogs to get exercise. The shelter put out a call for volunteer Pokemon Go dog walkers in a Facebook post last week, but has yet to see any come in to walk a dog. The six dogs that are up for adoption at the shelter are available for a walk Monday through Saturday. The outing can be a short walk near the shelter or people can venture out on a nearby trail. Rescue operation to save 6,000 pigs from flooding in China .
A rescue mission to save 6,000 pigs from severe flooding district. Two farmers in Anhui province were photographed breaking down as they looked at their pigs struggling, up to their snouts in water. Their farm lies near the banks of the Yangtze River, which has overflowed after days of heavy rainfall. It appeared that the pigs would become victims of the floods, which have killed more than 100 people and caused severe property damage in communities along the river.
According to local media, though, the public outcry led to the pigs being rescued. A local organisation visited the farm and managed to save the pigs, according to Anhui News. Flooding in the river basin has left 112 people dead or missing in recent days, state media said on Tuesday, with more damage feared from a typhoon expected to make landfall within days.
Some 16 million people have been affected by heavy rains that have left vast areas under water near the Yangtze, China's longest river, the Beijing News cited the civil affairs ministry as saying. Water levels in Taihu Lake, close to Shanghai, are at their highest level since 1954, it said, adding the area faced a "serious" risk of flooding if a typhoon hit nearby on Friday.
Flooding is common during the summer monsoon season in southern China, but rainfall has been particularly heavy this year and many areas have been lashed by torrential rains this week. China's national observatory issued an orange alert for storms across the country's south and east last week - the second highest warning in a four-tiered system.
Whole villages were levelled and at least 98 killed in the eastern province of Jiangsu last month after the region was hit by a storm with hurricane-force winds and the worst tornado in half a century.
Floods have also hit South Asia this week, with 33 killed in Pakistan and 25 left dead in India after unusually heavy rains.

"Surprisingly, the dog is in fairly good, psychical condition," said Laura Simpson, founder of the Harmony Fund in Holden, Massachusetts. "The blindness of course is from a pre-existing condition, but he's now in foster care and we're hoping he can find a home there he's loved and respected in the way he should be."
Simpson told ABC News that it was last week when international animal rescuer Fahrudin Caki Bravo and his friend Ratko Koblar received word of a dog trapped in a well in nearby Bosnia."The dog had been there for months and they don't know if he was thrown in, or if he fell in," Simpson said. "We're certainly hoping that he fell, but with the dog being completely blind, he was only kept alive because the local children were kind enough to feed him.""He (Bravo) and his friend thought it was perfectly feasible getting the dog out and they did a great job," she added. "They made it look easy."
Following his rescue, , Christmas received veterinary care and was placed in foster care.
